Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, safety-minded Commercial Driver to transport cargo safely and efficiently. You will play a vital role in our supply chain, ensuring on-time deliveries while strictly adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) safety compliance guidelines. Key Responsibilities Safe Operations: Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Cargo Security: Inspect cargo before and after transport to ensure it is secure, correctly loaded, and within legal weight limits. Inspections: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues immediately. Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs, bills of lading, and delivery paperwork. Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of our company during client drop-offs and pickups. Hiring & Experience Requirements Minimum Age: Must be at least 25 years old to operate Heavy or Extra Heavy units. Driving Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience operating similar units or equipment is required. MVR Point Limit: Candidates must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). A score of 6 points or more within the past 3 years is ineligible for hire. DOT & Driver Qualification Requirements License: Must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Language: Must read, write, and speak English well enough to converse with the public and understand road signs (per 49 CFR § 391.11). Medical Certification: Must possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC). Background & Screening: Must register and clear the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse portal. Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check. Driver History: Must provide a 10-year employment history (per DOT rules). Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods within legal Hours of Service (HOS) limitations. Ability to lift, push, or pull freight if required by the specific routes.
