Commercial Truck Driver

Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Commercial Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and intermodal containers to and from rail yards and designated customer locations on schedule, while complying with all traffic laws and rail terminal safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Transport container freight to and from CN and CP rail terminals in a timely and safe manner. Perform local and regional pick-ups and deliveries within the GTA and surrounding cities. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and chassis inspections (brakes, tires, lights, twist locks, fluid levels). Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs, port/rail interchange receipts, and bills of lading. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service regarding delivery updates, rail gate status, or delays. Maintain clean equipment and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately. Qualifications & Requirements License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License ([AZ / Class 1 / CDL Class A]). Rail Terminal Experience: Proven experience operating at Canadian National (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CP / CPKC) rail yards. Experience: Minimum 2 years of commercial driving and container/intermodal experience preferred. Abstract: Clean driving record and up-to-date driver’s abstract. Knowledge: Familiarity with CN/CP gate entry procedures, terminal safety rules, DOT/MTO regulations, and load securing standards. Experience navigating city traffic, dock doors, and customer facilities across the local area and surrounding regions. Physical Ability: Able to lift up to [50 lbs], operate chassis pins/twist locks, and sit for extended periods. What We Offer Competitive Compensation Equipment: Well-maintained, modern fleet.
