Occasional Saturdays Tire Tech Job Description: As a Tire Technician at R & J Trucking , you will be responsible for tracking tire inventory, dismounting and mounting tires, and going on road calls. Your role is crucial in keeping our tire program in top condition, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the safe and reliable service to our customers. Tire Technician Responsibilities: Dismount and mount tires, clean rims. Perform small mechanical repairs pertaining to lights, mudflaps, etc. Replace tires on vehicles. Track tire inventory. Perform yard checks for damaged or worn-out tires. Perform and check alignments. Tire Technician Benefits: 401k with company matching. Paying up to $25.00 per hour based on experience & certifications. Overtime pay after 40 hours. Health care, vision, dental, prescription & life insurance. Quarterly attendance bonus ($100.00). Yearly tool allowance ($200.00 plus $20.00 per year of service). Tire Tech Qualifications: 1+ years of experience as a commercial tire technician. 3+ years of experience as a commercial tire technician is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a diesel/tire program is a plus. Knowledge of diesel engines, their components, and systems is a plus. Ability to operate tire inflation system diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
