As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and driven Parts & Inventory Associate to manage parts ordering, receiving, inventory, and distribution across our growing operation. This position is based at our Knoxville headquarters and plays a critical role in keeping our technicians productive, our service trucks stocked, and our parts costs under control. Position Overview The Parts & Inventory Associate is responsible for managing the complete parts process—from sourcing and ordering to receiving, organizing, stocking, and distributing parts. This position will support our Knoxville shop as well as our growing network of mobile service trucks and additional service locations. A major focus of this role is ensuring that Red Line Fleet purchases the correct parts at the lowest possible cost while maintaining the availability and quality needed to keep repairs moving. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment, and constantly looking for opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and reduce parts costs. Key Responsibilities Source and order automotive and fleet repair parts for active repair orders Compare multiple vendors to identify the best combination of price, availability, quality, and delivery time Actively identify lower-cost sourcing opportunities to reduce overall parts expense Receive and inspect all incoming parts and inventory Verify incoming parts against purchase orders and repair orders Ensure parts are assigned to the correct repair order, technician, vehicle, or inventory location Maintain accurate inventory counts and records Organize and maintain the Knoxville parts and inventory areas Maintain minimum and maximum stocking levels for commonly used parts and supplies Monitor inventory usage and replenish stock before shortages occur Manage inventory located on mobile service trucks Build and maintain standardized inventory levels across multiple mobile units and locations Coordinate the transfer and distribution of parts between the Knoxville headquarters, mobile trucks, and other Red Line Fleet locations Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits Identify missing, damaged, incorrect, or unaccounted-for inventory Process parts returns, warranty returns, cores, and credits Track backordered and special-order parts Follow up with vendors to prevent parts delays from holding up repairs Maintain organized records of purchases, invoices, credits, and returns Work closely with service writers, technicians, and management to ensure parts are available when repairs are ready to be completed Help develop better inventory systems and processes as Red Line Fleet expands into additional markets What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, cost-conscious, and dependable.
