Who We Are RTS Mechanical is a privately held, family-owned commercial HVAC company serving building owners, property managers and facility directors across the Twin Cities. No private equity, no outside investors, no corporate playbook written three states away. Decisions get made here, by people who know your name. We're not simply building a successful HVAC company. We're building people, developing leaders, strengthening families, and creating something that will matter long after today's work is finished. We believe that when people grow, the business grows. When leaders serve, teams get stronger. And when customers get genuine care backed by real technical excellence, a service call becomes a relationship that lasts. What We're Building Our vision is bold: grow a deep bench of leaders developed from within our own team, and build a company strong enough to give every one of them room to run. Every schedule you optimize, every customer you communicate with proactively, and every detail you catch before it becomes a problem builds toward something bigger than one job or one day. How We Operate Five standards run this company. They aren't posters on a wall. They're how we hold each other accountable every day. People First. We take care of each other and our customers, and nobody waits on us for an answer. Keep Your Word. If we say it, we do it, even when it costs us. Own It. If we see a problem, it's ours until it's solved. Lean In. When the job gets hard, we step up instead of backing off. Get Better. We bring a good attitude and improve a little every week. Why Top Performers Choose RTS Mechanical Stability Without Strings. You won't wake up to new owners or a new playbook next year. This company plans to be here for the long run, and wants you here with it. Your Work Shows. In a small team, what you do matters — to the technicians you support, to the customers who depend on fast and clear communication, and to the leadership team that trusts you to run the board. Room to Grow. We promote from within and invest in people who want to get better. This role has a path forward for the right person. A Team That Wins Together. No politics, no finger-pointing. Just people who hold each other to a high standard and back each other up when it matters. The Role You are the operational hub of our service team. While technicians are in the field doing the work, you're in the office making sure they have everything they need to succeed — the right job, the right parts, the right information — before they ever pull out of the parking lot. Think of it like being an air traffic controller. You don't just answer the phone and move names around a board. You track every job, anticipate problems before they happen, communicate clearly under pressure, and make sure nothing collides. When a technician flags an issue in the field, you process it, quote it, and follow up — same day, every time. What You'll Do ● Build and manage the daily schedule — every technician assigned and every job properly set up before the day starts ● Be the first and fastest communicator — customers always know what's happening and what's next, because you told them first ● Process technician repair recommendations into quotes the same day they come in ● Maintain complete job records in real time — every job closes with accurate notes, a visit summary, and submitted timesheets ● Identify equipment replacement opportunities from field findings and route them to the right team ● Follow up on open quotes and customer communications — nothing gets stale, nothing gets forgotten ● Optimize the board throughout the day — adjust in real time when plans change, without dropping balls ● Flag open items and prep the next day's schedule before you leave This Isn't for You If ● You need to be reminded to follow up ● You treat documentation as optional ● You wait for problems to find you instead of finding them first ● You'd rat…
