Commercial Garbage Truck Driver

Residential rear-loading Garbage Collection Driver. As a truck driver you will be responsible for: Maintaining personal health to possess & maintain DOT Medical Certificate. Completing DOT pre & post trip inspections. Abiding by all TX & Federal commercial driving regulations. Reporting vehicle issues in a timely manner to mechanic/OM. Insuring cleanliness in work area. Recording accurate notes on route sheets. Maintaining professional relationships both external & internal. Basic mechanical knowledge & understanding. Ensuring all safety standards are met for yourself & the two men loading the trash. Performing other job-related duties assigned by OM. As a truck driver you are required to meet certain life skills: Leadership (you are the leader of the truck when it leaves the yard). Communication (must be able to effectively communicate (both written & verbally) with direct crew, office staff, and supervisors). Commitment (you must be committed to completing all daily tasks). Attendance (you must possess a habit of being punctual & present). Emotional Regularity (must be able to multi-task & work under pressure while staying composed).
