Texas, United States of America Job Family Group: Downstream Supply Chain Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: September 30, 2026 Business Unit: Trading and Supply Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: What’s the role As the Commercial Fuels Optimizer, you will be part of the Trading & Supply (T&S) organization, which is at the heart of Shell’s Downstream business. The T&S Global Supply and Commercial Fuels team acts as an integrator across Shell, enabling strong end-to-end value delivery. This is achieved by managing the physical supply chain, optimizing product disposition, and creating value through strategic deal-making. Main purpose of the role is to maximize end-to-end enterprise value creation via: Maximizing Trading value Maximizing Distribution value Maximizing standalone Commercial Fuels value This position is remote location, a virtual role. Accountabilities: Support the delivery of T&S Commercial Fuels strategy, specifically play an active role in providing local market level Supply/Demand analysis for select inland markets to maximize E2E value of available product Responsible for supporting rack supply strategy and rack procurement negotiations Support daily pricing strategies in collaboration with Trading. Support strategy, specifically play an active role in providing local market level Supply/Demand analysis for select inland markets to maximize E2E value Lead Commercial Fuels’ pricing activities for rack sales of gasoline, distillates, and low carbon fuels in collaboration w/product trade desks Lead integrator between Trading, Supply, Distribution and Commercial Fuels rack account managers Support the Commercial Fuels Account Managers to deliver on their margin targets at a C3 level Work collaboratively across various Products Trading desks to identify new value levers to maximize margins on current business and grow value growth with new opportunities What you bring Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer Bachelor’s Degree preferred At least 5 years of relevant experience This position is contingent upon the closing of a deal transaction What we offer The base salary range for this position is $124, 000 - $186,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity. For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents. Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives.
