Cavossa DisposalCommercial Front Load Driver | CDL Class A or B | Local Routes | Home Daily | Full Benefits Cavossa Disposal Corporation is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Commercial Front Load Driver to join our team full-time. This position is responsible for servicing an established commercial waste route throughout Cape Cod and the surrounding area. Previous Front Load experience is strongly preferred , but we are willing to consider experienced CDL drivers who have the right driving background, work ethic, and ability to learn the equipment. This is a hands-on driving position. Our Front Load Drivers do more than stay behind the wheel — you will regularly enter and exit the truck to access containers, open and close enclosures, move smaller commercial containers, and address issues at customer locations. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday Rotating Saturday schedule Typical start time between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM Drivers work until their assigned route is completed Local routes — home daily Applicants should be comfortable with overnight/early-morning start times and understand that daily finish times can vary based on route volume, traffic, weather, disposal facility conditions, and other operational needs. Responsibilities include: Operate a commercial Front Load refuse truck on an assigned local route Service commercial dumpsters at businesses, restaurants, condominium properties, and other customer locations Safely maneuver the truck through parking lots, commercial properties, narrow access points, and container areas Frequently enter and exit the truck throughout the shift Open and close gates and dumpster enclosures as needed Pull out and return 2-yard containers on wheels and reposition containers when necessary to safely complete service Inspect container areas and identify access issues, contamination, blocked containers, or other service concerns Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Properly dump collected material at designated disposal facilities Maintain a clean, safe, and professional assigned truck Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements Communication & Technology Our drivers work independently on the road, but they are also an important part of our Dispatch and Operations team. Drivers are expected to: Communicate with Dispatch in a timely, clear, and respectful manner Respond appropriately when Dispatch contacts them regarding route changes, missed stops, customer concerns, or service instructions Communicate problems as they occur, rather than waiting until the end of the route Use a company-provided tablet throughout the shift to view route information and record stop completion Accurately document blocked containers, service issues, photos, notes, and other route information when required Be comfortable learning and using basic technology as part of their daily responsibilities You do not need to be a technology expert, but you should be comfortable navigating a tablet and learning our routing software.
