Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics network! In this energetic role, you will operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight across diverse routes. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) driving, route planning using GPS navigation, and cargo handling will keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across OTR routes. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts and roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and safety compliance. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS systems to meet delivery schedules while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Maintain accurate documentation for each trip, including logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, and delivery receipts in compliance with DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure truck safety, including checking for mechanical issues and verifying load security. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery status, or any incidents on the road. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely. Experience with logistics cargo handling including freight management and truck loading/unloading processes. Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.
