Commercial Driver's License Truck Driver

Job Summary As a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Truck Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably from pickup to delivery. You’ll operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and use GPS navigation to follow assigned routes, including over-the-road (OTR) routes. Depending on the load and equipment, work may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive freight safely and on schedule. Responsibilities Perform commercial truck driving and delivery driving on local and OTR routes; plan route driving with GPS navigation. Inspect and operate assigned trucks and trailers, including vehicles with manual transmissions. Secure, load, unload, and handle freight using safe manual handling practices and appropriate cargo equipment. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, as well as hazardous materials regulations when transporting hazmat or other dangerous goods. Complete required delivery and shipment records, and report vehicle, cargo, or route issues promptly. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle and cargo; meet applicable driving and safety requirements. Commercial driving, truck driving, tractor-trailer, and delivery driver experience preferred. Familiarity with freight logistics and cargo handling, truck loading and unloading, and manual transmission operation. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation is an asset. Hazmat qualifications and knowledge of dangerous goods requirements are preferred when relevant to assigned loads. Pay: $27.17 - $32.72 per hour Work Location: In person
