Job Summary Join our dynamic transportation team as a Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of delivering freight across diverse routes with precision and professionalism. In this role, you will operate independently and managing your own schedule and hours with our team, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient deliveries Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, handling hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations Transport automobile parts or vehicles via automobile transportation methods with precision and care Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly Ensure proper securing of freight on flatbed or tanker trucks to prevent damage during transit Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and address any route or cargo issues Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for long distances across states or regions Familiarity with truck and trailer operations and logistics cargo handling techniques Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures for freight, hazardous goods, or dangerous substances Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual handling tasks safely Experience in driving tractor-trailers or other large commercial vehicles such as flatbeds or tankers Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazmat or tanker loads is highly desirable Embark on a fulfilling career that combines adventure with responsibility!
