Responsibilities Maintain Accurate Records Complete and submit daily logs, delivery forms, and inspection checklists. Keep accurate records of mileage, material deliveries, and any incidents that may occur. Follow Safety Protocols Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies to maintain safety on the road, at the job site, and while operating the vehicle. Inspect Vehicle Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck, ensuring it’s in good working condition, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluids. Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs promptly. Operate Dump Truck Safely and Efficiently Drive and operate dump trucks, ensuring safe delivery and transportation of materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, construction debris, or other bulk goods to job sites within the local area. Communicate with Supervisors and Customers Maintain clear communication with supervisors, dispatchers, and job site personnel to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues or delays. Be courteous and professional with clients. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with operating dump trucks. Ability to load and unload materials efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met. Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles. Excellent navigation skills with knowledge of local roads and highways. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
