Commercial Driver's License Truck Driver

Job Overview This job requires a Class A drivers license and preferably some, but certainly not required, knowledge of the agriculture cattle feeding industries. Drive a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia day cab delivering feed within 150 miles of Amarillo, TX. This job is 2200 miles and 5 days per week with the occasional Saturday. This WILL vary on holiday weeks. 90% of products are bulk and unload from a live bottom trailer. This job operates between Lubbock and Dalhart TX daily. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and have clean MVR. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks including Walking Floor and Dry Van on routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transportation. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards; report any maintenance issues promptly. Deliver freight accurately to various destinations, maintaining excellent customer service and communication throughout the process. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving with a focus on freight handling. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers with manual handling expertise. Ability to use GPS navigation tools effectively for route planning and real-time adjustments. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in delivery route management preferred. Pay: From $60,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
