Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate your own commercial truck to deliver goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in driving, route planning, and manual handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate your own CDL A truck, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load, secure, transport, and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all safety protocols. Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation, communication, and record-keeping purposes. Load and unload goods at warehouses or delivery sites, utilizing safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries or pickups. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, manifests, and incident reports as required. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, supporting inventory management and material handling activities. Follow all safety procedures related to heavy lifting, manual transmission driving, warehouse operations, and weight handling in the workplace. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with box trucks or vans. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including manual handling equipment operation such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Experience in route driving with a focus on adhering to schedules and traffic regulations. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling standards in the workplace. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling best practices. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively during deliveries or pickups.
