Responsibilities Safely operate your own commercial truck with a valid CDL A license, adhering strictly to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security. Manage route driving efficiently while maintaining timely deliveries; utilize mobile devices for navigation and communication. Load and unload cargo with proper manual lifting practices to prevent injury; handle heavy or bulky items with care. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during delivery appointments; address any concerns or questions courteously. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and delivery receipts; complete all required shift reports diligently. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route planning and traffic regulations. Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling and safe lifting practices. Familiarity with warehouse operations, moving procedures, and inventory management is advantageous. Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices. Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities; dependable and punctual.
