Skills Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our construction logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating truck with lowbed and tag trailer, as well as triaxle dumptrucks, and to transport construction materials, equipment, and freight to various job sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of construction projects, contributing to the efficient movement of essential materials across diverse locations. Responsibilities Safely operate Triaxles, tractor-trailer combos, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local delivery routes within compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or truck loading equipment, ensuring proper securing of hazardous materials and dangerous goods for transport. Skilled loading and unloading of heavy construction equipment, with proper tie down methods and safe loading practices. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for compliance with hazardous materials regulations and truck maintenance needs. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report delays or issues promptly, and ensure seamless logistics cargo handling. Willing to provide labor on jobsite tasks as required to assist with civil construction team. Some days there will be more job tasks then only driving. Pride in keeping equipment and trucks clean and professional. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving within construction or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods transportation. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle various trailer types. Excellent and safe manual handling skills for load & unload activities while maintaining safety standards. Familiarity with logistics cargo handling processes specific to construction materials and freight management. Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams, site managers, and safety personnel.
