Job Title: Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport goods over long distances, primarily through over-the-road (OTR) routes. This role requires expertise in handling manual transmissions, flatbed loads, and specialized equipment such as doubles and triples pneumatic systems. The driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties: Operate commercial trucks with a CDL A license, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport freight across various routes. Drive over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Handle flatbed loads securely, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures. Manage specialized equipment such as doubles and triples pneumatic systems when required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on the road. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques. Requirements: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with flatbed loads. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently. Experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes preferred. Familiarity with handling doubles and triples pneumatic systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and transportation laws. Excellent communication skills and reliability. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo. Flexibility to work long hours and extended periods away from home as needed.
