Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver - Drayage

Overview As a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver, you’ll transport freight safely to and from the Charleston and Savannah Ports and reliably using a tractor-trailer. You’ll plan routes with GPS navigation, complete delivery driving assignments, and handle cargo according to shipment and safety requirements. Routes may include over-the-road (OTR) driving and other route driving. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive shipments safely and on schedule. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, with manual transmission where required Haul port containers from the ports of Charleston and Savannah Transport shipments and other cargo when authorized Follow assigned routes, use GPS navigation, and complete delivery and shipment documentation Requirements Valid CDL Class A license and experience in commercial truck driving, commercial driving, or delivery driving; delivery driver experience is preferred Safe driving skills and ability to operate a manual transmission Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Experience with drayage and intermodal freight handling experience is an asset Pay: From $50,000.00 per year People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: On the road
