Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and specialized freight vehicles across assigned routes. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper cargo securement in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Transport hazardous materials following Hazardous Materials Regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while adhering to safety protocols for dangerous goods and other sensitive cargo. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delivery issues using GPS navigation tools. Follow all safety procedures related to truck loading/unloading, manual handling, and cargo handling logistics. Comply with all DOT regulations, including hours of service rules and vehicle safety standards. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and hazardous materials transportation preferred. Experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes and long-haul trucking is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and DOT compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is essential.
