Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the safe, timely delivery of goods while adhering strictly to all federal and state regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced transportation environment, delivering freight ranging from refrigerated goods to hazardous materials, with a focus on safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks on OTR routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment for hazardous materials or dangerous goods. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques and ensure proper securing of cargo in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal delivery paths while managing time effectively. Transport automobile transportation and freight across long distances while maintaining compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking load integrity, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and other critical components. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit. Skills Valid CDL A license with clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods. Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment such as Hazmat or automobile transport vehicles. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Skilled in truck loading and unloading procedures including freight handling for logistics cargo handling. Ability to manually handle cargo safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
