Century Equipment Company, based in Murray, Utah, is seeking a skilled, safety-conscious Class A CDL Transport Driver to join our local equipment dealership team. In this role, you will load, secure, and transport heavy construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment to and from customer worksites, auctions, and our 8 Intermountain facilities. This position offers a great balance for drivers who want consistent home time, featuring primarily local deliveries with occasional regional transport across Intermountain states. Key Responsibilities Equipment Transport: Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer combination, pulling RGN (Removable Gooseneck) / Lowboy trailers. Load and Unload: Drive and operate a wide range of heavy machinery onto and off transport trailers. Load Securement: Properly chain, strap, and secure heavy loads according to federal and state DOT regulations. Permitting and Routing: Coordinate safe travel routes for oversized or overweight loads, adhering to permit restrictions across Utah and Intermountain jurisdictions. Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting safety concerns to management. Documentation: Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports. Customer Service: Represent Century Equipment Company professionally when interacting with customers during equipment drop-offs and pickups. Qualifications and Requirements License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record. Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of verifiable experience hauling heavy equipment using a lowboy/RGN trailer. Technical Skill: Proven competence in operating heavy construction or agricultural machinery for loading purposes. Medical: Current DOT Medical Card and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Physical Stamina: Ability to handle heavy chains and binders, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and climb onto machinery or trailers.
