Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver

Overview General Contractor looking for Truck Driver with Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A to operate Tandem Dump Truck and Kenworth Semi Trailer with Side-Dump Trailer and or Lowboy to transport heavy equipment in the Douglas County / Elbert County areas. Duties Perform commercial truck driving, route driving, and delivery driving while following assigned schedules and routes. Inspect and operate tractor-trailers, including vehicles with manual transmissions, and report equipment or cargo concerns. Handle logistics cargo tasks, including freight loading and unloading, load securement, and manual handling. Transport general freight and, when assigned and qualified, hazardous materials or other dangerous goods. Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and applicable hazardous materials regulations. Qualifications Required: Valid CDL Class A and a safe driving record; ability to operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers. Required: Ability to load and unload freight and perform manual handling safely. Hazmat or dangerous-goods qualifications are preferred for applicable assignments; follow all required regulations and procedures.
