Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, across designated routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load, secure, transport, and unload freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments with precision and care Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups Handle logistics cargo with attention to manual handling procedures for heavy or delicate items Manage delivery driving tasks including route driving, load & unload operations, and vehicle inspections before and after trips Adhere strictly to hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous substances Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, logs, inspection reports, and compliance records in line with safety standards Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with necessary endorsements for refrigerated trailers, hazmat, tanker, flatbed, or other specialized loads Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight transportation and delivery driving Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures as well as manual handling techniques Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT safety standards Experience operating trucks with manual transmission preferred but not required Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as load & unload activities safely and efficiently This role is designed for motivated drivers eager to deliver excellence on every trip while maintaining the highest safety standards.
