We keep a fleet of tractors, not a yard full of trailers, so the box behind you changes from load to load: a 53-foot dry van out of a Dallas warehouse one day, a loaded trailer from a drop lot in Memphis the next. Our trucks show up at scales from Ridgefield, Washington to Pensacola, Florida, and we are adding Class A drivers who like the long miles and want them steady. A month in the truck Here is how four weeks can go. No two months match, but the shape is usually close. Week one - Leave the Austin area on I-35 and US-287, past the Childress scale or east on I-30 through Texarkana - Hook in Memphis or Kansas City and head north on I-29 or east toward Ohio and Pennsylvania Week two - Turn west on I-80 through Iowa, Nebraska and Wyoming - Some trailers continue up I-90 through Montana to the Pacific Northwest Week three - Down the West Coast to California's Inland Empire - Back toward Texas on I-40 through Williams, Arizona and Gallup, New Mexico Then home - Four days off in Central Texas before the next cycle starts - Southeast months happen too: I-10 to Florida, I-75 through Georgia and I-95 up the coast Pay and miles - $0.63 to $0.70 per mile, depending on years of OTR experience - 2,500 to 3,000 miles in a full week, roughly $1,600 to $2,000 - Pay comes every week by direct deposit You can join us if you have - At least 12 months of over-the-road miles on your Class A - A DOT medical card in good standing - A pre-employment DOT drug test that comes back clean, plus your place in our random alcohol and drug pool - An MVR that our insurance underwriter will accept - English strong enough to speak with inspectors and dispatch and read every sign on the road, per the federal requirement for commercial drivers - U.S. work eligibility, proven with your documents on hiring day - A home base in Central Texas: Round Rock, Austin, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Hutto, Cedar Park, Temple or along I-35 nearby Hakimov LLC is a Round Rock, Texas trucking company operating as Hakimov Transportation, USDOT 4017209 and MC 1514241.
