Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load, secure, transport, and unload Heavy Equipment and cargo such as automobile transportation. Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized delivery routes while maintaining punctuality and efficiency. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking load & unload equipment, trailer connections, brakes, lights, and tires. Handle manual loading and unloading processes with care for logistics cargo handling standards; assist with truck loading/unloading as needed. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and compliance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Ability to manually handle freight safely using proper techniques; familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules Proficiency in using GPS navigation tools for route planning and execution.
