Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, while ensuring compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you’ll be responsible for transporting freight, managing cargo handling, and maintaining excellent customer service on every delivery. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Transport refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, and other freight types with precision and care. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, ensuring timely deliveries while complying with route driving protocols. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of freight such as freight on flatbeds or tankers. Manage logistics cargo handling processes including truck loading/unloading, verifying shipment accuracy, and documenting delivery details. Maintain safety standards by following hazardous materials regulations and handling dangerous goods according to federal guidelines. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and report any issues encountered during transit or cargo handling. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with tractor-trailers preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across diverse terrains. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for manual handling and truck loading/unloading. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with GPS navigation systems is essential. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for various freight types including freight on flatbeds or tankers.
