The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport goods over long distances, primarily engaging in over-the-road (OTR) routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism to ensure timely delivery of freight across various locations. The CDL A Truck Driver will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our transportation operations. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks with a valid CDL A license to transport freight over long-distance routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving assignments. Safely navigate highways, city streets, and rural roads while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during trips. Ensure cargo is secured properly and handle loading/unloading procedures as required. Follow company policies on safety protocols, vehicle maintenance, and operational procedures to promote a safe working environment. Manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while minimizing delays or violations. Skills Valid CDL A license with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly over-the-road (OTR) routes. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for long-haul trucking. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems and route planning software. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs. Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and clients. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards. Physical stamina and mental resilience required for long hours on the road.
