Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with a valid CDL A license, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Drive over-the-road (OTR) routes, managing long-haul deliveries across multiple states while maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations. Use GPS navigation systems effectively to follow optimized routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adjusting for traffic or road conditions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with federal regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers is essential. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across various terrains. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials handling procedures. Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling. Proficiency in using GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments.
