Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, ensuring timely and secure delivery of freight to multiple destinations. Your expertise in handling different types of cargo, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, and specialty loads like tanker or flatbed shipments, will be essential. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on diverse routes, including OTR routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Transport a variety of freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments with precision and care. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of freight including dangerous goods and hazardous materials. Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance paperwork. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and address any route or cargo concerns promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials handling procedures. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation methods. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual cargo loading/unloading tasks. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery execution. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, load securing techniques, and safety protocols for dangerous goods. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with delivery driving on route driving assignments preferred.
