Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient deliveries across multiple locations Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols Manage automobile transportation tasks when required, including securing vehicles for transport Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or unforeseen issues Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely over long distances on route driving assignments Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment preferred Knowledge of logistics cargo handling including load & unload procedures for freight of varying types Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning software for efficient delivery scheduling Understanding of DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards applicable to commercial trucking Delivery driver experience involving freight transportation across multiple locations or long-haul routes is highly desirable Embark on a career that moves you forward!
