Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of trucks to deliver goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for adhering to all safety and DOT regulations while ensuring timely deliveries. Duties Operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, including flatbed, dry van, step deck, walking floor, and end dump trailers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Safely load, secure, and unload cargo according to company standards and safety protocols. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to federal and state transportation laws. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs. Comply with all DOT regulations, safety policies, and company procedures during daily operations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery statuses or issues encountered on the road. Skills Valid CDL A license with clean driving record. Experience operating commercial trucks with manual transmissions. Knowledge of various trailer types including flatbed, dry van, step deck, walking floor, and end dump. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial trucking. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting. Good organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
