CDL Class A Truck Driver Lisanti Foodservice of Texas Job Summary Lisanti Foodservice of Texas is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and hardworking CDL Class A Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver foodservice products to customers accurately and on time. This position requires a professional driver who can safely operate commercial vehicles, handle deliveries, maintain accurate delivery documentation, and provide excellent customer service while representing Lisanti Foodservice of Texas. Job Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial truck in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Deliver foodservice products to customers according to assigned routes and delivery schedules. Load, unload, move, and handle products as required, following company procedures. Verify orders, invoices, and delivery paperwork to ensure accurate deliveries. Obtain customer signatures and document proof of delivery. Inspect vehicles before and after trips and report any mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns. Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, delivery records, and other required documentation. Follow all DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and company safety policies. Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of the assigned vehicle. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management. Report delivery discrepancies, damaged products, shortages, and customer concerns promptly. Handle food products responsibly and follow applicable food safety and product-handling procedures. Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required. Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and professionalism on every route. Perform other driving and delivery-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) . Current medical certification and driving qualifications required for the position. Safe driving record and ability to meet applicable DOT requirements. Knowledge of commercial vehicle safety procedures and transportation regulations. Ability to read and understand delivery paperwork, invoices, and route instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and strong time-management skills. Ability to work independently and complete assigned routes efficiently. Ability to perform the physical duties associated with delivery work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products, within the position's established requirements. Willingness to follow company policies and all applicable safety procedures. Preferred Qualifications Previous commercial truck driving experience. Experience in foodservice distribution, wholesale distribution, or food and beverage delivery. Experience handling customer deliveries, invoices, and proof-of-delivery documentation. Familiarity with warehouse loading procedures and product-handling practices. Skills and Attributes Strong commitment to safe driving. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
