Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in handling diverse cargo types will be essential in maintaining our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailer to delivery routes Load and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules Ensure compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and cargo integrity Load and secure cargo properly, including freight that requires special handling like dangerous goods or specialty equipment Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory standards Skills Valid CDL A license with clean driving record and experience in commercial truck driving Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers Knowledge of logistics cargo handling, including freight loading/unloading and securing loads on flatbeds or dry vans Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time adjustments Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely, including forklift operation when required Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT regulations, and safety protocols for over-the-road driving routes These routes are considered local routes within Central Ky .
