Gasaway Distributors Inc. is hiring full-time Class A CDL semi tanker drivers to join our team out of our central hub in Romeoville, IL . We specialize in high-capacity non-hazardous liquid transport across the Chicagoland region and Midwest—delivering bulk loads to commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sites. Minimum qualifications: Have at least 3 years tanker experience in the past 5 years Valid Class A commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement Safe driving record and history Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals in the last 3 years Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical Available to work a flexible schedule that’s up to 12-14 hours a day, including day, night, holiday, and weekend shifts as necessary Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). No DUI/DWI, refusal to test, at fault accidents, leaving the scene of the accident. Pay, benefits and more: Home daily, regional and local deliveries Expected pay range: $29.00 to $35.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set. Paid vacation, paid holidays, and SIMPLE IRA with company match Paid health insurance, long term and short-term disability insurance and life insurance This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position Truck Drivers are required to: Safely climb in/out of a tractor cab/trailer Sit for extended periods in a truck tractor; safely operate heavy equipment Walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery (including working outdoors in inclement weather) Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel Operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours, in all types of weather, while safely transporting non-hazardous materials Load and unload non-hazardous liquids using hydraulic pumps safely Fill out all necessary and required paperwork including log books and timecards Pursuant to U.S. Department of Labor requirements, the worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and record.
