Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and safely across various routes. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, logistics cargo handling, and hazardous materials transportation will be essential in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining our reputation for excellence. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on long-distance OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations Transport automobile parts or other freight efficiently across multiple states, maintaining high safety standards throughout each journey Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Document delivery activities accurately, including load & unload records, delivery logs, and incident reports Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving Demonstrated expertise in driving tractor-trailers with manual transmission and manual handling skills Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialty equipment such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods transport preferred Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT compliance standards, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems accurately across diverse routes including route driving for deliveries across multiple locations Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight security and proper load distribution Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service We are committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where professional drivers can excel.
