Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Local Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely, while getting home weekly. You’ll be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers, while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries Transport various types of freight Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards; report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate documentation for delivery logs, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and compliance records related to DOT regulations. Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate route planning and delivery schedules for maximum efficiency. Skills Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers a Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries. Excellent driving skills with experience in delivery driving across local routes; familiarity with route driving best practices is a plus.
