Overview As a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A OTR Driver, you’ll transport freight safely and reliably over the road (OTR), connecting shipments with their destinations. You’ll operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers, use GPS navigation to follow routes, and handle cargo according to its type and applicable safety requirements. This paid position may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation, depending on the load. Duties Drive commercial vehicles on OTR and other assigned delivery routes; plan route driving with GPS navigation and respond safely to road conditions. Inspect and operate tractor-trailers, including vehicles with manual transmissions, and report equipment or safety concerns. Load and unload freight using safe manual handling practices; secure cargo and verify shipments during logistics cargo handling. Transport general freight and, when assigned and properly authorized, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or automobile loads. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, and applicable hazardous materials regulations. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive freight in good condition and keep supply chains moving. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license and a driving record that meets applicable requirements. Commercial truck driving, truck driving, commercial driving, or delivery driver experience; experience with delivery driving is preferred. Ability to operate tractor-trailers and manual transmissions and perform required loading, unloading, and cargo securement. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements; hazmat or dangerous-goods qualifications are needed for applicable assignments. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed, tanker, or automobile transportation is helpful. Pay: $3,000.00 per week Work Location: On the road
