Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our mining team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting and dumping material to and from our mining and production sites. The ideal candidate prioritizes job site safety, maintains a clean driving record, and possesses strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with project teams and supervisors. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A or B license. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials regulations. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery schedules. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely. Experience with truck loading/unloading processes for freight such as freight pallets or cargo containers. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence. Safety Operate dump trucks efficiently on public highways, secondary roads, and active mine sites. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections focusing on tires, lights, brakes, fluid levels, and overall mechanical health. Operations Verify material types and ensure proper weight distribution to stay within legal load and highway limits. Oversee the safe loading process and ensure the tailgate and tarps are secured tightly before transit. Compliance Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections. Comply strictly with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Report any mechanical defects, accidents, or traffic violations to management immediately. Support Operations Assist production operations on job sites during peak periods when the truck is not actively in transit. Handle minor preventative maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and keeping the vehicle clean. Requirements Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL ) . Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card). Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR ) with no recent moving violations. Ability to pass a mandatory DOT background check and pre-employment drugscreen. Physical stamina to sit for extended periods, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and lift to 50 lbs. if necessary. Benefits Includes Health Plan, vision, dental and 401K.
