Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trucks, following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules across OTR (Over the Road) routes Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols Deliver freight accurately to various destinations while maintaining excellent customer service during delivery driving interactions Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure trucks meet safety standards before each trip Manage logistics cargo handling tasks such as truck loading/unloading, securing loads, and verifying shipment documentation Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery operations Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation methods Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling Skilled in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and effectively Experience with load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading techniques, and logistics cargo handling Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits in compliance with DOT standards Capable of manual handling tasks required for freight loading/unloading and securing cargo Knowledge of truck driving safety protocols including hazard awareness and risk mitigation strategies Embark on a rewarding career that combines adventure with responsibility!
