We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our operations. We specialize in transporting industrial equipment, heavy machinery, generators, construction materials, and commercial freight throughout Houston, surrounding areas, and regional destinations. We are looking for a professional driver who takes pride in their work, maintains a strong commitment to safety, and understands the importance of punctuality, communication, and customer service. This position primarily involves local deliveries with occasional regional trips. Most out-of-town assignments are same-day, round-trip deliveries. Job Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and trailers. Transport industrial equipment, generators, machinery, and construction materials. Operate flatbed and step-deck trailers as assigned. Properly secure freight using chains, binders, straps, and other appropriate equipment. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Follow all applicable DOT and FMCSA safety regulations. Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers. Ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Keep assigned equipment clean and in good operating condition. Complete required paperwork and delivery documentation. Report equipment issues, delays, or safety concerns immediately. Minimum Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Minimum of 3 years of verifiable CDL driving experience. Experience operating manual transmissions (10-speed and 13-speed). Valid TWIC card required. Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement. Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism. Ability to accommodate early morning pickups, extended workdays, and occasional weekend assignments. Preferred Experience: Industrial equipment transportation. Generator and machinery hauling. Step-deck and flatbed operations. Experience delivering to construction sites, refineries, and industrial facilities. Work Schedule Primarily Monday through Saturday. Occasional Sunday assignments based on customer demand. Early morning start times. Flexible hours depending on scheduled deliveries. Primarily local Houston-area routes. Occasional regional trips throughout Texas and surrounding states. Most regional trips involve same-day returns. Applicants must understand that transportation schedules vary based on customer requirements and operational demands. Compensation $1,600–$1,800 per week 1099 independent contractor arrangement.
