Responsibilities Safely operate flatbed trucks equipped for hauling freight, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while maintaining safety standards Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to follow designated routes, including route driving and over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely deliveries across multiple locations Secure freight on flatbeds properly for transportation, including specialized loads such as tanker or refrigerated trailers when required Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify safety issues or mechanical problems before departure and after delivery Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in accordance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit Experience Proven 2 Years experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on flatbed operations, freight hauling, or delivery driving Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker loads, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and dangerous goods handling is highly desirable Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures and manual handling techniques for logistics cargo handling Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery execution Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Class A with endorsements for flatbed trucking; additional certifications such as Hazmat or Tanker endorsement are a plus Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and safety protocols for truck driving and hazardous materials transportation Ability to operate Automatic transmission trucks confidently while maintaining focus on safety and precision Embark on a rewarding career that keeps you moving forward!
