Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Dedicated Truck Driver and take the wheel of a tractor-trailer to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate specialized equipment, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will play a vital role in supporting our logistics operations and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, or tanker configurations, on over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or truck loading equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize travel times. Transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols when applicable. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, trailer, and cargo to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify maintenance needs. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving. Knowledge of various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment for automobile transportation. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Ability to load and unload freight safely using manual handling techniques or mechanical aids while adhering to logistics cargo handling standards. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with proficiency in tractor-trailer operation under diverse road conditions. Strong commitment to safety practices related to truck loading/unloading, vehicle maintenance checks, and hazard awareness during transportation.
