Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Company Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks across long-distance routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and experience handling specialized cargo such as hazmat and doubles. Duties Operate commercial trucks with CDL A license across various over-the-road routes, often spanning multiple states or regions. Safely transport freight, including hazardous materials (hazmat), adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Handle specialized cargo such as doubles trailers, ensuring proper coupling, securing loads, and compliance with safety standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for safe operation. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on the road. Skills Valid CDL A license with clean driving record. Experience operating over-the-road (OTR) trucks for long-distance deliveries. Knowledge of hazmat regulations and handling procedures. Familiarity with driving doubles trailers is preferred. Strong understanding of safety standards related to commercial trucking and hazardous materials. Excellent navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes. Good communication skills for coordination with dispatchers and clients. Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
