Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License class D Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, route management, and customer service will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate non CDL box trucks for local and regional deliveries, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication, ensuring on-time arrivals and departures. Assist with warehouse operations by manually handling materials, organizing shipments, and supporting inventory management when needed. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance documentation in accordance with DOT standards. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures. Warehouse experience preferred, including manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe lifting practices to prevent injuries during loading/unloading activities. Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT compliance requirements, and weight handling in the workplace. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; prior experience with manual handling is a plus.
