Commerce Operations Assistant US-Based Seasonal Position | Remote | 3-6 Month Project About GOBI GOBI makes personal climate-control products designed to help people stay comfortable wherever work, weather, and life take them. We sell direct-to-consumer and through major retail and marketplace channels, which means a lot of product data has to stay accurate across a lot of systems. We are looking for a detail-oriented Commerce Operations Assistant to support a 3-6 month operational cleanup and documentation project across our e-commerce systems. This is a seasonal employee position for a US-based employee. The Project The goal is simple: make our commerce data cleaner, our processes easier to follow, and our product listings more reliable across systems. Over the course of the project, you will help: Improve consistency of product data across systems Identify and document recurring data and sync issues Support product setup and maintenance across e-commerce channels Turn informal processes into clear, repeatable documentation Surface recurring themes from product reviews and customer questions Scope of Work Product & Data Consistency Review and work with CSV exports and imports Compare product data across Shopify, inventory systems, shipping tools, and marketplaces Identify inconsistencies in SKUs, variants, UPCs, weights, dimensions, packaging, and other product attributes Document issues clearly with examples, screenshots, and recommended next steps Help maintain clean, consistent product records as updates are made E-commerce Platform Support Support product setup and updates in Shopify Verify that product information is flowing correctly into connected systems Perform product lookups and data checks in inventory and operations platforms Flag discrepancies and help confirm corrections Marketplace & Channel Monitoring Review listings and product syncs across channels such as Walmart, Amazon, and other retail marketplaces Identify missing, broken, incomplete, or inconsistent listings Track recurring errors and patterns Escalate issues with enough detail for the appropriate team member to act on them Reviews & Customer Questions Review product reviews and customer Q&A for recurring themes Identify common questions, confusion points, or missing product information Compile useful findings that can inform product pages, FAQs, and support documentation Documentation & Process Support Document workflows as they are reviewed or improved Create clear step-by-step instructions for repeatable operational tasks Help organize information so another team member can understand and repeat the process later What We Are Looking For This project may be a good fit if you: Are highly detail-oriented and notice when things do not line up Are comfortable working with spreadsheets, CSV files, and structured data Enjoy learning how different systems connect Can investigate a problem, organize what you find, and communicate it clearly Are comfortable working independently and managing your own priorities against agreed deadlines Ask good questions when something is unclear instead of guessing Can document processes in a way that makes sense to someone who was not there Experience in e-commerce, operations, supply chain, information systems, data analytics, or marketplace management is helpful, but we care more about how you think and work than a specific degree or job title. What This Project Does Not Include Contract Details Location: Remote, United States Seasoanl Term: 3-6 months Compensation: To be confirmed in USD Payment: Paychecks are issued on the 5th and 20th of each month.
