Combi Forklift Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Combi Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate combined forklift equipment and order pickers, to efficiently handle materials, load and unload shipments, and support warehouse distribution operations. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and warehouse management will ensure smooth inventory flow, safe handling of goods, and timely order fulfillment. Duties Operate combi forklifts and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse efficiently and safely. Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Conduct accurate order picking utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure correct items are selected for shipping or inventory replenishment. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and maintaining detailed logs. Handle materials with precision using mechanical knowledge of pallet jacks and other heavy equipment to prevent damage or accidents. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock in designated areas, stacking pallets securely, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues related to heavy equipment operation. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and other inventory control tools. Excellent understanding of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Previous experience in construction or similar environments is a plus for understanding heavy-duty equipment use. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking or load securing tasks.
