CNG / Diesel Logistics Coordinator – Dispatch
CORE Natural Gas | CNGOverview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNG / Diesel Logistics Coordinator – Dispatch to support our transportation and fuel logistics operations across the Permian Basin. This role is responsible for coordinating CNG and diesel deliveries, assigning drivers and equipment, monitoring inventory and customer tank levels, tracking deliveries in real time, and responding quickly to changing operational conditions. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping fuel moving safely, reliably, and on schedule while maintaining compliance with company procedures and applicable DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and CNG safety requirements. Responsibilities Dispatch CNG and diesel deliveries across the Permian Basin based on customer demand, delivery schedules, and operational priorities. Assign drivers, trucks, trailers, and delivery locations according to capacity, route requirements, and customer needs. Monitor deliveries in real time using dispatch and GPS systems and communicate with drivers regarding delays, route changes, breakdowns, and emergencies. Track CNG inventory and customer tank levels to prevent outages or overfills and schedule deliveries based on consumption rates and available supply. Coordinate loading and unloading with CNG stations, compression facilities, terminals, maintenance teams, and customer sites. Verify bills of lading and delivery documentation and maintain accurate dispatch and transportation records. Monitor driver hours of service and compliance requirements and adjust schedules accordingly. Respond to vehicle breakdowns, equipment issues, weather, road closures, and delivery interruptions. Coordinate maintenance for trucks, trailers, compressors, and related equipment. Prioritize critical or emergency deliveries when customers are at risk of running out of fuel. Work with operations leadership to maintain adequate driver, equipment, and fuel availability. Review delivery performance, delays, missed deliveries, and fuel usage. Escalate safety or compliance concerns immediately. Support surge demand during peak drilling and completion activity. Maintain compliance with applicable DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and CNG safety requirements. Qualifications 2+ years of dispatch or logistics coordination experience ; oilfield, energy, or fuel transportation experience preferred. Familiarity with CNG, compressed gas, tanker/trailer operations, or hazardous-material transportation preferred. Working knowledge of dispatch software, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA hours-of-service requirements. Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. High school diploma required; associate degree a plus. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Midland, Texas . Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
