Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year of parts room experience. Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills; mathematical skills. Knowledge of and experience with computerized inventory programs. Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment. Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention. Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications. Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance. Revised: 6/13/23 Responsibilities Assist in the ordering of parts and maintaining inventory of parts on hand and enter all appropriate information in computer terminal. Maintain necessary records and stock inventory cards. Assume responsibility for keeping stockroom clean and orderly at all times and see that the stockroom is secure when it is necessary to leave it unattended. Make a periodic spot-check of parts in various locations and assist the stock control foreman to ensure prompt billing to appropriate vendors. Identify all parts covered under warranty and assist the stock control foreman to ensure prompt billing to appropriate vendors. Communicate with all regions to ensure prompt and needed parts and service to the Districts fleet of vehicles.
