shipped while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse and shipping area.
Responsibilities
• Retrieve and review daily shipping requests to ensure all orders are processed on schedule.
• Ensure all daily orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped according to customer requirements and internal procedures.
• Prepare and complete bills of lading and other required shipping documentation, using the correct forms for major freight carriers.
• Inspect outbound shipments for correct job numbers, quantities, and compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Contact freight carriers for pickups using phone, email, or web portals, following specified procedures.
• Utilize UPS, DHL, and FedEx online software to create labels, schedule shipments, and track deliveries.
• Organize and maintain warehouse and shipping areas to support efficient material storage, handling, and inventory flow.
• Use stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move, load, and unload products.
• Apply basic math skills to verify counts, reconcile shipping documents, and confirm accuracy of orders.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams and external carriers.
• Make sound decisions by following established guidelines and pre-determined procedures.
• Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, high-performing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Use email, Windows-based applications, and internet tools to support shipping, receiving, and documentation processes.
Essential Skills
• Three or more years of manufacturing-related experience in shipping and receiving.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Stand-up forklift experience and ability to operate warehouse material handling equipment safely.
• Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to read and write clearly.
• Basic math skills to perform counts, verifications, and simple calculations.
• Ability to use UPS, DHL, and FedEx online shipping software.
• Experience using email and navigating Windows and internet applications.
• Self-motivation with strong multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Capability to make decisions by following established, pre-determined procedures.
• Dependable transportation to reliably commute to and from work.
• Ability to work the scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-performing environment is preferred.
• Bi-lingual Spanish skills are a plus but not required.
• Experience with inventory processes and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with major freight carriers and their documentation requirements.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse and shipping area.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address shipping and receiving issues as they arise.
• Professional references available to support work history and performance.
