Class B CDL DRIVER
Davenport Transportation.Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver needed to haul U.S. Mail in Columbia SC Part time and full time positions available. Must have a good driving record able to pass Drug test and physical. Am and Pm shifts available. Great opportunity for extra money during Holiday Season 28 to 35 dollars per hr Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks and other assigned vehicles, including those with manual transmissions, while following safe driving practices. Plan and follow delivery routes using GPS navigation; complete route driving and delivery driving assignments on schedule. Inspect vehicles and secure freight before departure; handle logistics cargo and perform truck loading and unloading as needed. Load and unload freight using safe manual handling practices, following applicable procedures for hazardous materials and dangerous goods. Maintain required records and follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and other applicable regulations. Your impact: Safe, dependable deliveries help customers receive their freight in good condition and keep supply chains moving. Experience Class B CDL and a safe driving record are required; relevant delivery driver experience and commercial truck driving experience are preferred. Experience with truck driving, commercial driving, freight handling, and load and unload tasks is helpful. Knowledge of Hazmat (hazardous materials), hazardous materials regulations, and applicable dangerous goods requirements is preferred. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed or tanker equipment, tractor-trailers, or automobile transportation is an asset. Ability to follow route instructions, handle cargo safely, and comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations is essential. Pay: $27.89 - $33.44 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week Work Location: In person
